Assessment of Patellofemoral Pain |
|
Patent Pending Diagnostic Sleeves™ can be used as part of a thorough knee exam.
• Evaluate the impact of increased surface contact area on pain relief
• Assess proper fitting for the QLok™ Brace, sizes S-XXL
In cases of lateral tracking and patellar tilt, the Diagnostic Sleeve™ can reduce pain significantly. The QLok™ Brace may then be applied with confidence. |
|
| Use of the QLok™ Diagnostic Sleeves for Assessing Lateral Tracking Patella: |
 |
1) Assess Pain
With the sore knee, step up on a 4" - 6" step (book). Rate the pain from 1-10, 10 being the greatest pain.
2) Apply Diagnostic Sleeve™
Measure the knee and apply the corresponding sized sleeve to the sore knee. The fit should be snug but comfortable. This test is better with sleeves to tight than too loose. Pull up the sleeve until the white line is positioned directly over the middle of the patella.
3) Assess Pain
With the sore knee, step up on a 4" - 6" step (book). Rate the pain from 1-10, 10 being the greatest pain. If the pain is reduced by at least 2 points the QLok™ is indicated. |
